One of the more ironic titles I've seen. Alan Kay (progenitor of Smalltalk and OOP) has said on various occasions that it should have been called message-oriented programming, rather than object-oriented. "I'm sorry that I long ago coined the term 'objects' for this topic because it gets many people to focus on the lesser idea.
