Sadly, this is true around the world. Job protections tend to help incumbents, and result in an "underclass" of "temporary" workers. This even affects public sector jobs in the United States. It's like squeezing a tube of toothpaste; squeeze in one place, and the laws of economics cause the paste to come out in another. |
