This. Kind of what I said in the main post. It seems crappy that you're giving someone an advantage, but it would be available to both sides. The justice system is structured this way because they believe attorneys will act in their self interest only and by letting them both do so it will be fair. I'm just allowing them both to have better tools while they do it.
