You probably mean Weta Digital (http://www.wetafx.co.nz/), named after a New Zealand insect (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weta). Confusing matters is the fact that Weta Digital is located just off Weka Street (my old street, coincidentally), which is named after a New Zealand bird (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weka).
