On the main page Lumberyard is described as a 3D game engine, which is the case because it's based off of the 3D CryEngine game engine. If they're to add 2D support, it'll probably be a while. And it'll likely be something built using the 3D technology, unless they want to put in a lot of work to optimize for a 2D use. |
