I read a good portion of these in college for an economic history class and I would not recommend these to OP. These books are extremely dense and foster qualitative discussion, not really the model based approach to economics that OP seems to be searching for.

Reading Marx’s Capital Volumes I, and II with David Harvey. He has been teaching Karl Marx's Capital for over 40 years.
