How about the extensive surveillance software developed by the NSA (PRISM et. al.)? That's probably the biggest example of ethical and moral failure in modern history.

I think that most people disagree with you about that. So it's hard to call the people working on that immoral.

I call them immoral because I think the work they are doing simply is immoral. Nothing "hard" about that.
