Previous role: * On-call is a week long (Tuesday to Tuesday 10am) rotation * Primary duty on a page is to triage and be a point person during the incident * Proper procedures during day-to-day coding should make the on-call shift be uneventful 99.9% of the time * Managers are escalation point, then Directors, then VP of Eng * Revert to previous state and call it a night is an acceptable fix - the primary issue can be resolved the next day * Blameless post-mortems |
