If they're ditching the 3.5mm jack to get thinner, I'm not sure they're going to switch to the thicker USB-C connector. It made sense to move to USB-C on the MacBook where it replaces every other connector and makes their product more aesthetically attractive and thin. On the phone they already have a thinner connector with a much thinner plug. It also allows them to have a high-markup proprietary adapter market. |
