So now I can find out the first and last name of the owner of whatever email I punch in there?

If it's the primary email on their account, you already can with Gravatar.

Only if they choose to supply that information to Gravatar in the first place. Magic is not giving people the opt-in option, it's just opting you in whether you like it or not.

Somewhat. Either it's rate limited or their servers are overwhelmed right now. I'm getting some weird errors thrown back like status code 422.
