Anne Frank and the other (mostly Jewish) refugees of that time had no marked, large-scale habit of beheading or blowing up anyone who didn't agree with them. Welcoming Anne Frank and other Jewish refugees would not produce a threat to society. Welcoming hordes of militant Muslims is most certainly suicidal by comparison.

Don't forget that the last century has seen Islam be less of a threat than any other century since its founding, but that is due to the forcible destruction of the Caliphate by Muslims themselves with the unprecedented support of Kemal Ataturk.

Neither do Syrian refugees.

The people from whom the Syrian refugees are fleeing do, but then, that's kind of why they're fleeing.

(Equating the Syrian refugees with Daesh, et al., is like equating the 1930s European Jewish refugees with the Nazis.)

The screening of refugees by the UNHCR before referring to a country for resettlement, and, in the case of the US, by the numerous US agency responsible for screening before admission, makes it extremely unlikely that any substantial number of the refugees admitted to the US for resettlement would be "militant Muslims", so the idea that "welcoming hordes of militant Muslims" is even on the table for discussion is misguided.

The anti-semitic lies told about Jews during WWII are pretty similar to the Islamophobic lies told about Muslims now.

Similar language ("vermin", "cockroaches"); similar themes ("they want to kill you"; "they want to rule you with their law").
