Yahoo finance says the market cap is only $340M, but all the articles leading up to today said their valuation was going to be $2.5-3B.

Did they really only IPO less than 20% of the total company and keep the rest private?

That isn't how it works. They create some new shares and sell them. The rest of the shares are held by the current owners.
