Ask HN: Have you transfered H1B to your startup? How was the experience?

Hi all,

I'm H1B employee right now and actively looking for an investment into my startup(have a non-american co-founder). One of the toughest questions for me to answer is about current visa situation. I have found articles about founders being able to transfer H1B to their newly formed startup, but I wanted also ask here on how is the experience with this situation in HN crowd.

Do you guys think that this is something doable with mid-to-high six figure seed round? Have you ever experienced problems with new H1B petition under new company?

I have immi lawyer, so I have place to go to ask, but still I'm interested in real stories.
