In these discussions about the importance of metadata, I'm surprised that Bitmessage is rarely mentioned. The Bitmessage protocol is decentralized, trustless, and hides metadata such as the sender and receiver of messages.

I was really excited when I first read about bitmessage. As far as I can tell, it solves more problems than any other messaging protocol. It's a mystery to me why is doesn't get more attention.
