As a former Ruby dev, and current Scala dev, I actually think Ceylon would appeal more to Rubyists. Syntax-wise, Ceylon is not a very pretty language at first glance. LHS types and semi-colons. Not really a lot to like from a syntax perspective for your average Scala developer I think. But that's just my opinion. |
