One of the challenging things about software development is that it requires a great deal of self study. In a boot camp or university you will have regular assignments as well as teachers and peers alongside you to help. But if you are not willing to sit and put in the extra hours solo, you will never get as far as those who will. I am quite lazy myself, but I have tried to be discipline when it comes to projects and learning. One chapter a day or create some new functionality by some date. Setting small digestible goals makes things easier. |
