The trick is: don't ask that question trying to put yourself above the police. Say it in a way that feels like asking for help. Suddenly, getting it your way becomes for them a way to show their power over you. Haven't tried that with police, but it worked in other cases where I had to interact with people who had the means to ruin my day. |
