That's exactly right, and the article goes on to explain that. The scatter plot compares "UCAS Tariff" (A-level results etc) to unemployment. I used to work with / mentor students who were somewhere in the middle to poor end of the scale. An apprenticeship is probably better, now that tuition fees are so high. |
