Good. Working in a garment factory is not just mindnumbingly monotonous, but backbreaking and dangerous.

Garment companies can make the working situations better by implementing sustainable work practices.

Sustainable Apparel Coalition is an organization working on this approach. Not working is not any better than working in a potentially dangerous place, which could turn better in the near future. http://apparelcoalition.org/

An important question for both the garment workers abroad and for American workers. In the past, we took for granted that a redundant worker could find work again: one factory is like another. Now, we're not so sure.
