To be fair, It says a wee bit more, it says apple has an llvm IR layer and a semantic gap exists with arm -> so it'll be both easier and necessary to create their own ISA layer. I'd really like to know the details behind the semantic gap, though. That was annoyingly vague and really is the premise of the entire argument. |
