That the public opinion is now pretty much driven only by emotion, that policy is made to respond to the current public opinion and that modern diplomacy is now pretty much driven by shock youtube videos or photos. The migrant crisis is no worse today than it was a week ago. The estimates of the number of migrants drowning in the Mediterranean sea have been known and consistent for months. |
