Perhaps, but if I increase my bounce rate by 80%, that still represents a large new pool of users that I could have monetized but never could now, no?
This article is on a site that productizes this exact thing. Can't really take that on completely good faith.
Fair enough. That was just the first google result I clumsily found. However, the web department at my company found that an email signup interstitial 30 seconds after first page load increased our email signups by about 4x, without a noticeable impact on our profit margins.
Probably from all the people entering bogus emails in anger and retaliation at your company's spam.
This article is about exit popups. I suspect everyone here thinks Google is talking about entrance popups.
