Is he using COGS in the right sense? I think he means CIF, cost/insurance/freight. My company produces products in Europe and Japan and we use the term 'landed CIF' to include all the costs associated with mfg, freight, and duties before it hits our US warehouse. COGS for us is how much is sold through a distributor to an end user. |
