It's amazing how that doesn't resonate very often with businesses. Robo-replies and being assigned ticket numbers tells me quickly that the support organization in a company already failed.
What pisses me off the most is when I get a robo-reply with a ticket # and I don't hear back till 2 days later, via an obvious generic templated response (with some variables like my name added in) - and more than likely the response is way too generic and doesn't solve my problem.
