I started with what Nathan Yau did at Flowing Data (http://flowingdata.com/2013/09/12/working-with-line-maps-the-google-places-api-and-r/) in creating a line graph of food deserts for the US. Then, I generalized it to work for any country and for any scale of geography, and used to to do a number of different runs over parts of Canada. |
