nice idea! I only missed a link to the related wikipedia articles for each entry.

It's there on mouseover (top right).

Way too fancy. Why not a single link with no animations or mouseover events?

I tried that out initially (since it's simpler), but the single link on every pin on the page looked a bit ugly.
