I hope the conculsion won't be to drain even the few remaining wet habitats. I can tell you what that will cause: draughts, desertification, and even more heating, as evaporation stops to cool the environment. I'm living in this situation, Hungary was drained 150 years ago, and currently is turning into a desert rapidly.
