I think it's interesting. IIRC Anaconda went from full Open-Source to open-source-client-but-if-you-use-the-default-repository-you-have-to-pay for big companies. (I work in a University, let's say a few dozens of thousands of Profesors+TA, or I count only my School or my Department? No idea if I would have to pay. I'm not using it anyway.)
