Every project has simple parts and complex parts. I understand why you wouldn't want AI or people who haven't proven themselves to make contributions to the complex parts, but pretending there aren't a lot of places where AI can create more than adequate contributions is a strange hill to die on.
We are entering the "forward-thinking visionary leaders denounce AI as a failed experiment" part of the cycle. Got to stay ahead of the curve, no matter where it's headed, and no matter you were one of the boosters last week.
Do you really not understand why someone might want a blanket AI ban? Or is this a performative comment?

Isn't that the general consensus by people in the OSS community who actually know what they are doing? I feel like I have read this like 10 times by different project leads now.
