"Operating profit" is a weasel word phrase. It doesn't include capital expenditures, financing, stock compensation dilution, or long-term infrastructure commitments.

I'm not sure what you're saying here. You can use Claude Code on Linux.

He's probably talking about the desktop version, which afaik doesn't officially exist on Linux. There are Debian packages that repackage the electron code though: https://github.com/aaddrick/claude-desktop-debian

Seriously. Why don't other companies think of this? All Anthropic had to do was make GPT 4.6 use about 15% more tokens and voila! 80x growth YoY

I don’t know how people take these claims seriously for private companies. Does no one remember Enron?

That being said I am sure they are making bank.
