What is fabulous is most of them are useless without a 'whatng cartel' web engine: usually you cannot get a token without being forced to use one as you need to, most of the time:

1 - create an account (and often you don't have a big tech email, for instance you are self-hosted without paying for DNS IPv[46] literals, you are blocked).

2 - get a secret token/"enable an application" (only web app interfaces). And there are also the session tokens.

Basically, in the end, you could have a web API but you stay completely gated by the 'whatng cartel' web engines. The scam is perfect, pure evil. And some API are actually javascript API, forget about CURL.

You should be able to create an account, get a token/"enable an application" with a classic web browser (and a self-hosted email without DNS if required). Namely a noscript/basic (x)html browser: lynk/links2/netsurf/w3m/etc and any future "small" and "reasonable" web engine.

But most of those sites should have a noscript/basic (x)html interface in the first place.

I write to myself, since I have an old existing and configured microsoft github.com account, I managed to get a working API key... for now...

They broke most classic web support, but not completely then with a bit of smart, I manage to do it (not without pain and sweat).

Do use the APIs to improve your products and services.
