All of these things can be true at the same time:

* AI makes it that you don't need as many devs as in the past

* Snap is a terrible business

* Snap overhired during Covid

* High interest rates are forcing companies to downsize

I haven’t heard anyone mention Snapchat in a long time.
We contribute to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together.

I guess "human progress" doesn't include empowering people with a job?

You really have to ask yourself if tech companies are doing things to help humanity, when it seems the only goal for AI is massive job loss, with no alternative for the people that lost their jobs.
