If we get rid of the moon it would be a collosal engineering feat. Probably need to destabilize it's orbit. Maybe make "use" of Apophis to help? But could take a few million years I reckon.

Given climatic effects from the industrial revolution onward (and perhaps with a pro-lunar bias), it would make more sense to get rid of humans to reduce the frequency of catastrophes! ;)
