The interface doesn't seem to "grow" to a 1440p display on the first page in the app. This leaves the "Add Friend" button floating in the middle of nowhere. I'm sure there is a better responsive design for this to at least avoid visual confusion. The interface looks correct once in an actual chat.
When I message someone it says "Unknown User" as their name in the message history.
I spoke with you briefly as a test, since the project was posted to HN and the domain name said `beta.echoed.gg` I assumed you wanted people to kick the tires of your product. Instead of testing the software or getting feedback the discussion became about it not being a product. This is very strange because your own website says "Product" in the footer. The response was "We are not a business" and then "If want a product go talk to a business".
Are you Open Source then? I can't find a GitHub link or anything similar from your site or by searching myself.
Very strange and I actually caution if this is a "real" project or some kind of data collection thing?
EDIT - Also there appears to be no email verification, so don't trust anything related to what a user says they are?
Who starts their conversation with "Hello I am from HN and spamming you"???
Then "Because I want to test the product you posted on HN"
I literally said "test it without spaming maybe like what things are broken then help me out?"
Stress testing or spamming a piece of software shouldn't be done without proper permission. How did you manage to call or message me if this wasnt a real piece of software?
You posted this on HN and automatically put new users into a group chat with you as the leader matching the name on your HN profile.
The call never connected and only attempted to ping the web browsers media interface, but it never actually did anything. The first "call" was it requesting permission to access a device.
I would say you're not ready for attention from a larger audience at this time in your product and relation management.
What I am saying is that the screenshot posted shows two calls, but there was in fact only one call. I believe the browser asking for permission caused a second "call" to be shown.
