Show HN: CyberCage – On-device PII detection for AI tools (text and images) (cybercage.io)
1 points by cybercageio-dev 153 days ago
Hey HN,

We just shipped PII detection for CyberCage.

The idea: builders move fast, copy-paste doesn't think. Sometimes sensitive stuff ends up in AI tools — SSNs, API keys, customer data. Not intentional, just momentum.

So we built something that catches it before it leaves the machine.

What it does:

- Detects SSNs, credit cards, phone numbers

- Catches API keys (AWS, GitHub, OpenAI...)

- Custom patterns you define

- Works on images too — all processed locally

ML powered detection runs on-device. Nothing gets sent anywhere for scanning.

You choose what happens: log, block, or auto-redact.

Works with Claude Web, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, x.AI.

Would love your feedback.
