Show HN: A privacy-first, batch image blurring tool (runs locally) (blurimageonline.com)
1 points by funny_ai 153 days ago
Hi HN, I built a simple browser-based tool to quickly apply various blur effects to images.

I often needed to redact sensitive info or create blurred backgrounds for UI mockups, but didn't want to upload files to a server or open Photoshop. This tool runs entirely client-side.

Key features:

Batch processing: Upload and download multiple images at once.

Multiple modes: Includes Gaussian, Pixelate (good for redaction), Motion, Radial, and Noise.

Fine-tuning: Adjustable strength sliders.

It’s free and doesn't require a login. I’d love to hear your feedback on the UX!

If it runs locally why does it say "upload" and "download" your images?

Semantically confusing.
