I built a small iPhone app called Harvest Bowl. It helps you build meals using exact grams or calories and shows your macros instantly as you adjust portions.
I made it because I wanted a dead-simple way to put together meals without using a full tracking app or dealing with cluttered food databases. Just pick ingredients, slide to set the portion, and the numbers update immediately.
Features:
• Precision sliders for grams/calories
• Instant macros
• Clean ingredient lists
• Quick veggie presets
• Save your go-to bowls
I’d love feedback from the HN community — UX, performance, missing features, anything. This is a version 1 and I’m trying to keep it focused and disciplined.
Super clean execution. Love how fast the sliders feel - removes 99% of the friction in meal tracking apps. Curious: any plans for custom ingredients or barcode scan without turning it into a bloated database?
