Anyone getting a passport already has it. What is the problem?

Well for starters it’s not compulsory to show your passport every time you get a new job or buy a train ticket.

Nor do you have to show your passport to read wikipedia or Reddit which is where this legislation is clearly headed.

Never let an uptick in racism go to waste eh?
