I remember a couple of (grayhat? oops, colored hats have "social history" and are verboten to speak of, like the "master" branch in git[0]) security researchers who developed a Scheme runtime and VM for malware payloads called Wasp. The skeevy 2000s adware company Direct Revenue also used TinyScheme.
