Entirely agreed, it's even more important when work-day "tomorrow" is after a weekend.

For me it's mainly about getting back into the flow, as opposed to hoping my backbrain will provide some insight.

Yeah, that was my major goal as well. The insights on auto-pilot part just came as a bonus.
