| Hey HN, I built Dolph AI — a focus timer for students that mixes deep work with a little AI fun. The idea is simple:
25 minutes of uninterrupted study time
followed by 5 minutes of chatting with an AI The goal is to train focus, not just track it. I built this because I noticed students (myself included) often struggle to stay off our phones — especially with AI becoming more engaging than ever. Ironically, I wanted to use AI to help fight that. Dolph doesn’t do a million things. It just gives you a focused study space, then rewards you with 5 minutes of chill AI time where you can reflect, ask questions, or just talk. Would love feedback — on the experience, the UX, or even the name. I'm considering expanding the AI to remember what you studied and help quiz you over time. Thanks, and love ya'll HN community <3 |
