Not to the specific topic of the article ("inequalities"), but seeing the nationality of the author and source of some of the examples, reminded me of the high school I attended, in the late 70s, when - in order to pass the class - one had to have a minimum of points obtained by sending solutions to problems printed in "Gazeta Matematica" (Math Journal), and - in order to get a grade above a certain level - to qualify for the second stage of the Math Olympics. Let alone the amount of proven practice during each summer vacation. Can't say this didn't help getting two masters and a PhD later ;-)
My grandfather was a math teacher, and "Gazeta Matematica" was "his life".
