Answers questions like:
- Should I hold off one more processor generation before upgrading?
- What kind of performance jump can be expected across one or multiple generations?
- Will I get dizzy by looking at this star field/hyperdrive thingy for a long time? Uses the current data from Geekbench (https://browser.geekbench.com/mac-benchmarks). This is a simple chart site. I'm sure there are tons of ways it could be expanded, like:
- Include other benchmarks and things like "real-world" tests, like typical suites of various operations in photo/video editors, AI image/video generation, media encoding etc.
- Include comparison data for other processors (Intel/AMD/others) as well
- Easier comparison between two specific processor models
- Compare stats across processor tiers (base/Pro/Max/Ultra), not just processor generations
- Adjustments for UI, responsive, light mode etc. ...but I kind of like it simple and just wanted to come up with something as a quick test. Suggestions for improvements, especially in the form of pull requests, are welcome: https://github.com/rubjo/m-bench Слава Україні! - Slava Ukraini! |
