Show HN: I built a Typeform alternative for $15 (no subscription) (mangoform.app)

Hey HN,

I got tired of overpriced form builders. $600/year for a simple form? Ridiculous.

So I built MangoForm – a dead-simple, no-BS form builder. $15. Lifetime access.

No subscriptions No feature bloat Just a clean, fast, and easy-to-use form builder Why? Because not every tool needs a damn monthly fee.

Would love your feedback, let me know what you think!

This is awesome, but I hope you have underlying features that will make you money, otherwise everyone loses here. Do you offer like payment processing plugins so you can get some revenue?
Appreciate it! Right now, the focus is on keeping MangoForm simple and lightweight—no upsells, no bloat.

That said, I’m not against introducing optional paid features down the line (like payments, integrations, or advanced analytics), as long as they don’t force users into a subscription trap.

The core product will always stay one-time payment, but if some users need extra functionality, I’m open to giving them that option without making it mandatory for everyone.

I saw you changed your pricing structure, sounds like you are into something even bigger ahead! Great job. Question:

What is the difference between the Pro Plan and the basic alternative? I found it confusing not finding plan comparisons.

Also, for how long will you have the Last Chance 20%? I need to do some more research before we buy.

Thanks again

Curious to know how you'll manage the infra cost if customers just pay $15 for lifetime
Fair question! The key is keeping the infra light and the product focused.

MangoForm isn’t a heavy SaaS with tons of real-time processing. Forms are relatively low-cost to host, especially when optimized properly. I also don’t need to constantly push updates just to justify a recurring fee—it’s built to be stable and efficient from day one.

At $15 per customer, it’s all about volume and keeping things simple. Not every product needs to scale infinitely—sometimes, it just needs to be profitable enough to sustain itself.

Would a one-time fee work for every SaaS? Definitely not. But for a form builder? I’d argue it makes more sense than a $600/year subscription.
