Great to see more tools that run locally in the browser. What model does this use?

Here's one with a real clean interface that uses RMBG V1.4: https://huggingface.co/spaces/Xenova/remove-background-web

Another one: https://stablediffusionweb.com/background-remover

Yes, I used the RMBG 1.4
Works okay — tried two images from a newspaper and failed on both — but I'm sure for some it works well. Client-side though so that's something!
I tried a standard school photo of my daughter and it worked pretty great. I guess that in your instance it failed to define the subject of the photo.
Tested this out with quite a few images. It works great. Best AI background removal tool I've tried so far.
doesn't iphone already has this built-in?
Worst reason not to build something is because someone already has/it already exists. Two of my least favourite responses: why? and doesn't x already do this?

This is hackernews, not consumernews.

Are you giving out iphones?
Yes
