Minimalism with computers is the only sane "way", at all level.

Ofc, the planned obsolescence fanatics of the javascript-ed web or of ultra-complex syntax computer languages will make it as hard as possible to let this "minimalism" a "real-life" alternative.

True that! What I feel is that computing was fundamentally designed for CLI usage (which is, by today's standards, minimalist), and that GUIs arose later for the want of convenience, but it's not necessarily the best or the most intuitive way to handle things. Especially bulk operations like pattern based matching, or data handling.
