Show HN: ChordHive – an alternative front end for ultimate-guitar.com (chordhive.com)

Hi HN,

I've always found Ultimate Guitar frustrating to use, especially when playing in a band. Simple things like making annotations, organizing songs into lists, or transposing chords are just a hassle, let alone the fishy and scamming nature of their site which is full of ads.

That’s why I built ChordHive. It’s a straightforward tool where you can annotate chords and tabs, transpose them, autoscroll, and organize them with lists and tags. It's free and without any ads.

I’m a guitarist in a small band, so this comes from personal experience. But, I’d love to hear what features you’d find useful or how I could improve it. I’ll read every suggestion—your feedback really matters to me.

(PS: I'm currently working on making the project ready for open-source: https://github.com/oskarkraemer/chordhive-web)

Thanks!

Great project, have you heard of freetar? I’ve been using that a lot the last year for its simplicity. It’s also open sourced so you can run your own local hub or deploy.
