Interesting that use of Objective-C/C++ is still climbing at a seemingly unchanging, linear rate.
Look, Swift's a great language and all, but it's become grossly sophisticated and complex to the point of being a bloated pig; I wonder if people at Apple are still using Objective-C purely because editing it in XCode is still faster than Swift with respect to autocomplete and compilation speeds.
Apple certainly appears to be going all in on Swift. Even Foundation is written in it now. The use of Objective-C could have any number of explanations, from compatibility with legacy frameworks/applications to flaws in methodology. The charts give a general sense of trends but should be taken with a grain of salt.
