You mean the monitoring system birthed out of google's internal monitoring system that everyone and their granny has been deploying everywhere for the past, what, 6 years ?

I am not a web dev, but a Data Science manager, most people I've worked with know Prometheus (through Grafana mostly)

Prometheus is quite popular, your comment seems unnecessary.

If we use GitHub stars as some measure of relative popularity (or at least awareness): Prometheus has 55.7k stars. For comparison, Ruby on Rails has 56.1k stars, ranked only two spots ahead of Prometheus in GitHub repos with most stars.

So why doesn’t every post on HN about Rails have a comment like yours?
