Three issues:

- nobody's paying listed prices if they spend a few K a month with Datadog

- the other side is missing the cost of on-call, capacity planning, documentation writing, auth integration, training, initial setup, upgrades, migrations, etc.

- data is only counted once, so no failover/recovery in case of crashes

It's probably still going to be a bit lower total than Datadog, but it would be more honest.

Yep. I think this mostly would apply to smaller pre-funded startup with technical founder where there is time on the hands... but no cash.

"A bit lower than Datadog" probably still going to be at least order of magnitude..
